Manchester Law School is a leading modern university law school, recognised in the UK and internationally for its focus on social change and sustainability through law. We integrate high-quality practitioner expertise, educational excellence and research in the key areas of Equality & Human Rights, Sports Law, Place and Sustainability and Corporate and Professional Regulation.

The School has strong relationships across the Northern Circuit and with leading law firms. We work closely with organisations including the CPS, Support for Courts, Independent Football Ombudsman, Amnesty International, DEFRA and the Greater Manchester Law Centre. These relationships support an extensive pro bono network, mentoring and networking opportunities for our students and impact for our research. We have an outstanding track-record in mooting and advocacy training.

We offer LLB, GDL, LLM (SQE), BTC, LLM and PhD programmes. We currently have around 1,500 Manchester-based students, with a further 600 studying GDL and LLB programmes, in partnership with HKU Space, the University of Hong Kong. Our academic and professional programmes are characterised by innovation, research and a practice-engaged understanding of the emerging legal and professional services landscape, with a strong digital and technology focus.

We hold a key position within the North-West and are deeply connected within Manchester’s legal and professional services sector producing highly employable graduates in a range of roles. We commit to support every student with the ability and potential to achieve their best possible degree outcome, secure graduate employment and to make a meaningful contribution to our wider communities.
